Volunteer at CUQSC!

The Dalhousie Student Union is hosting this year’s Canadian University Queer Services Conference, and we need volunteers who want to get involved and make the conference great!

There are so many ways to be involved, from event planning to active listening and everything in between! Volunteers do not need to commit to the whole conference! Volunteers will work with the coordinator to find a schedule/task list that works best for them.

Volunteers will receive a swag bag and awesome t-shirt, extensive active listening and anti-oppression skills training, snacks at all volunteer sessions, free admission into the conference, meals for all conference days, and the ability to select volunteer shifts that work around the workshops/events the volunteer wants to attend!

Access notes: childcare can be provided upon request! All volunteer sessions will be held in a physically accessible space with a single stall/all-gender bathroom available on site. Snacks and beverages will be available at all sessions. There will be two mandatory sessions (the first approximately ~ 1 hour in length, and the second ~2 – 3 hours in length, with breaks in between!)

If you’re interested in volunteering, or would like more information, please contact Tameera (CUQSC coordinator) at cuqsc2016@dsu.ca
